Set up in the AOC Coteaux du Giennois area, Fernand & sons offers a range reflecting the 3 colours of the appellation.
Our appellation is a combination of a terroir, a climate and a winemaker. The climate makes its marks on each vintage. If the terroir is more present in the white wine, the winemaker spirit is more impressive in the dress of the red….
Fernand & Sons – Red
This cuvée is made from the pinot noir grape variety on a clay-limestone soil.
The freshness and the notes of red fruit from its youth are characteristic of the Center-Loire. A light aging gives body and suppleness.
After one or two years, the substance of the wine will express more.

Historical
Fernand's Story
Fernand was born in 1899. He was farmer winegrower and also visonary. From a Strong experience inherited of his ancestor, he innovates by buying the first tractor of the region in 1920, to plough his fields and to keep up his vines. He already combines tradition and modernism.
Today, his great grandsons, independant winegrowers, perpetuate the domain, by cultivating the same land in a process certified organic viticulture.
Tradition and modernity are always the main word of the process: plowing of the vines with the hydrostatic tractor; filling the barrels using a slow speed pump…..
This is how the tradition is perpetuated through « Fernand & Sons », through an offset angle !
